The position of Precinct Chair is critical to the success of the Republican Party up and down the ballot. The Guadalupe County Republican Party relies on people willing to organize their own voting precincts and get out the vote.
How to apply
- Find your precinct number (official Guadalupe County information).
- Use the Application for Nomination (for use between primary elections), when applicable.
If the role seems daunting, we provide free training. No prior experience or college degree is required.
What the job involves
- Executive Committee meetings: Precinct chairs make up the Executive Committee and steer the agenda of the Guadalupe County Republican Party. A quorum is required to conduct official business.
- Activate your precinct: Identify active voters and block-walk. Boots-on-the-ground effort still matters most for turnout.
- Election Day staffing: Help staff your precinct’s polling place, or recruit friends and neighbors so local residents help ensure honest, well-run elections.
